Centre 200 has a closed circuit video system connected to Buchanan Hall, The West Concourse and our 4 meeting rooms, as well as Club Forum. We offer the option of allowing all of these sights to receive a signal from either a satellite or, from a camera in the main arena. This camera facilitates the monitoring of activities from various other locations throughout Centre 200

The Vari-Theatre System

The versatile Vari-Theatre can be set up in an enormous variety of configurations to accommodate many productions. In the Vari-theatre’s standard set-up, it consists of a moveable stage and four 48’ moveable Thomas trusses from which theatrical lighting, a curtained proscenium, curtained legs, and a cyclorama are hung. It is dedicated front-of-house audio system, a Renkus Heinz Smart System, is effective to a maximum crowd size of approximately 2000 people, before additional equipment must be brought in. The Vari-theatre can be configured to play to a range of crowd sizes from 6500 seats (Centre 200’s capacity), to the smallest position of approximately 500 seats.

Audio

Centre 200 is equipped with a permanently installed in-house arena sound system which is used for general ice events and sporting events. This system is interconnected to separate convention room systems in the convention halls and four meeting/convention rooms. While the house sound system consists of permanently hung speaker clusters, a separate moveable system is employed in conjunction with our Vari-theatre. This moveable system is better suited to musical and theatrical type productions.
